As many of you are now familiar, the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon has become a yearly fundraising event at Across U-hub. The marathoners run or walk to raise money for a mission we all believe in, and together we make visible East Asian youth power in the community.
In the past three years, we successfully raised over $60,000 to provide more East Asian youth the opportunity to develop leadership qualities and a platform to uncover their potentials. The marathoners’ determination and resiliency were inspired by each other through a 5 months marathon training schedule.
Why Should You Join?
To Get In Shape
Training for marathon (42 KM) will help increase your endurance. It will help make your heart stronger, improve circulation, and strengthen your muscles.
You will probably also see mental improvements as well, such as feeling less stress, being more upbeat, and experiencing the “runner’s high” on a regular basis.
Raise Money for a Good Cause
While running a marathon for its own sake is an extremely satisfying experience, you are also helping other East Asian youth the opportunity to develop leadership qualities and a platform to uncover their potentials by fund raising for Across U-hub
