Volunteer Recruitment for
CRAFTERIA: Art & Handmade Bazaar 2024

Across U-hub is so excited to welcome you as volunteers to CRAFTERIA: Art & Handmade Bazaar 2024 at Varley Art Gallery of Markham on July 14. As a volunteer, you help promote the BEAUTY OF ASIAN ART alongside the creative works of Asian artists in a marketplace setting. We have numerous opportunities available in various areas, each offering different levels of commitment and skills.

Event Information

When?

Event Date: July 14, 2024 (Sunday)

Volunteer Shifts*:
(1) Full Day: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
(2) Half Day (AM): 8:00 am – 1:30 pm
(3) Half Day (PM): 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm

* Please make sure you can attend the Volunteer Training Session before signing up (details below).

Volunteer Orientation

New volunteers must complete ONE orientation prior to the Volunteer Training.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Event Assistant (please refer to roles and responsibilities section below)

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities as Event Assistant

  • Provide front-line customer service to Bazaar visitors, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Welcome and guide guests through the event by introducing Across U-hub, distributing information materials, answering questions, and giving directions.
  • Assist staff, event Coordinators and vendors with administrative tasks before and during the Bazaar.
  • Engage with guests at the Across U-hub fundraising sales booth, provide information, and assist with purchases.
  • Assist Volunteer Coordinator with signing in and out volunteers, answering volunteer questions, directing volunteers and more.
