Neighbour In Need: Make-A-Blanket

The Neighbour In Need program series focuses on community service and supporting underprivileged individuals through hands-on, compassionate action.

Actions speak louder than words.

This winter, Across U-hub is organizing a series of workshops to handcraft essential items for unhoused Torontonians — including preparing sandwiches, baking homemade goods, and making blankets. All items will be donated to frontline organizations serving vulnerable neighbours, such as Ve’ahavta, Good Shepherd Ministries.

As of July 30, 2026, our community came together to make 22 no-sew blankets! Together, let’s bring warmth and hope — one meal and one blanket at a time.
