City Warmer: Neighbour In Need
Collection Drive 2025

Since 2022, Across U-hub has launched the “City Warmer: Neighbour in Need” program series, emphasizing community service and hands-on leadership training to support underprivileged individuals.

In line with our slogan, “Actions speak louder than words”, this January (January 6 to January 31), Across U-hub will collect donations of clothing, hygiene products, and blankets to assist fellow Torontonians facing low income, unemployment, or life challenges.

All donated items will be sorted, folded, and distributed to various Greater Toronto Area non-profit organizations, ensuring they reach those in need.

In 2024 Collection Drive, over 800 lb of clothing and hygiene products were collected within a month.

Objectives

  • Collect 150 pounds of clothing, hygiene products, and blankets.
  • Raise awareness about the needs of unhoused individuals, at-risk youth, refugees, and women in our city.
  • Support organizations dedicated to caring for vulnerable neighbours.

When?

Collection Period:
January 6 to 31, 2025

Drop-Off Dates & Hours:
Tuesdays: 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Thursdays: 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm

How to Participate?

  • Review the Collection List for accepted donation items.
  • Separate clothing, hygiene products, and blankets into different bags before drop-off.
  • Place your donations in the designated bins at Across U-hub.

Donation Guidelines

All donated items must be ready-to-wear, clean,
free of damage, and not in need of repairs.

(If you wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing it –
that’s a good indicator someone else wouldn’t either.)
