Ready to turn your voice into action? Join Across U-hub on June 20, 2026, for a dynamic celebration of culture and community! We are creating over 100 volunteer opportunities for motivated youth and young adults (ages 16+) to bring the East Asian Youth Festival to life.

This isn’t just about helping out — it’s about amplifying youth voice in the community. As a volunteer, you’ll be involved in every stage, from event planning to day-of implementation.

    9:00 am – 7:00 pm

*Note: All volunteers must complete the training sessions prior to the event.

If you are a new volunteer and have not completed a general Across U-hub Volunteer Orientation before, please attend one of the Orientation Sessions.

Who Are We Looking For?

Volunteer hours will be given based on the volunteer’s attendance

Join Youth Festival Volunteer Team

Volunteer Opportunities

We offer a variety of positions to fit your unique talents. Training will be provided for all roles to ensure you feel confident and comfortable!

1. Festival Ambassadors

  • The Vibe: Warm, welcoming, and organized.
  • The Role: Greet and guide visitors, performers, crafters, VIPs, and media. Assist guests with disabilities in accessible areas. Manage “behind-the-scenes” logistics, including venue decoration, unloading, and human traffic flow.

2. Photographers/Videographers

  • The Vibe: Technical, creative, and observant.
  • The Role: Use your own gear to capture the high-quality photos and videos of the market, performances, and the vibrant festival atmosphere.

3. Stage Assistants

  • The Vibe: Technical, organized, and flexible.
  • The Role: Provide logistics support for the opening ceremony and performance. Help with equipment setup and ensure the show stays on schedule while assisting performers and VIPs.

4. Traffic Control & Safety Management

  • The Vibe: Responsible, alert, and proactive.
  • The Role: Monitor venue safety, coordinate parking logistics, and help manage emergency contingency plans. Oversee the First Aid Station and Lost & Found area.

Flexible Scheduling & Inquiries

We understand that your summer schedule might be busy! While we encourage full-day participation to get the most out of the experience, half-day shifts (Morning or Afternoon) can be arranged.

New volunteer must attend one of the following sessions:

    7:00 pm – 8:15 pm via Zoom

  2. Option B (In-Person):

Who can volunteer?

We are looking for enthusiastic youth and young adults aged 16 and older. Whether you are a student looking for experience or a community member wanting to give back, you are welcome to join us!

Do I need prior experience?

Not at all!

We value your passion and willingness to learn. We provide all necessary training during our orientation and briefing sessions to ensure you feel confident and prepared for your role.

Will I get a break? What about lunch?

Yes! All volunteers will have scheduled breaks throughout their shifts.

For those working through the midday period or a full-day shift, Across U-hub will provide lunch, snacks, and water. Our Volunteer Coordinators will be on-site to manage the break schedule and ensure everyone stays energized and hydrated.

Can I volunteer for only a half-day?

Yes.

While we encourage full-day participation to get the most out of the experience, we can arrange half-day shifts (Morning or Afternoon). If you have a specific scheduling conflict, please email us to discuss a timeframe that works for you.

Will I receive volunteer hours?

Absolutely.

Official volunteer hours will be granted based on your attendance and participation. These can be used for high school graduation requirements or your personal portfolio.

Are the training sessions mandatory?

Yes.

To ensure the festival runs smoothly and safely, all volunteers must complete the training prior to the event. If you are a new volunteer, you must also attend one of the orientation sessions.
