FAQ

In teams of two to four, participants will answer a series of guided interactive questions and complete a variety of activities to discover the hidden gems of Toronto’s diverse culture and history at specific checkpoints, which are pre-selected around the GTA.
Each checkpoint requires participants to gather information from various sources and answer the questions in the booklet. Stories of each checkpoint will be presented by a checkpoint volunteer, who is called the “City Teller”. By approaching the City Teller, participants will receive clues to answer the presented questions. Teams are encouraged to visit all the checkpoints and complete all the presented challenges. At the end of the day, all teams will gather at Mel Lastman Square to present their day of urban adventure experience.

It is not mandatory to visit all checkpoints, but the more checkpoints you visit the more fun you can enjoy. Stories of each checkpoint will be presented by a checkpoint volunteer, who is called the “City Teller”. By approaching the City Teller, you will receive clues and fun facts to complete a variety of activities and answer the presented questions. It’s completely up to you on how you want to explore the city! Just make sure you return to the finishing line before time runs out!

City Mosaic is an urban adventure that emphasizes on teamwork. That is why we require all teams to register in team and play as team, with a minimum of 2 members, maximum of 4. We encourage you to find friends, family or classmates to form a team for a day of fun!

If you have any new member(s) or replacement, please give us a call, email, and/or let us know by May 11, 2020.

TTC passes, an event t-shirt, program guides, and a light refreshment are included.

NO, because rules are rules!

Just to be clear, other than walking, running, or travelling on the TTC, you MAY NOT use any of the following or similar methods of transportation:
– Taxi
– Cars, motorcycle, trucks
– Bikes, Skateboard, rollerblades, scooters (or the electric ones)
– Uber
– Hover boards

In short, travel ON FOOT or by TTC…

We will provide TTC day pass(s) for all teams. It is up to you on how you want to use it, but we won’t be providing any extra if you lose it.

Pace yourself for food and stay hydrated. You also won’t want to miss out the good food around Toronto…AND, “phone eats first”, share the goodies with your foodies on Instagram!

Your pet would be much safer at home than running around with you for a full day. Please keep your pet at home.

All participants must check-in, start-off, and return to Mel Lastman Square of North York Civic Centre at the designated time. Please bring your team spirit along, start as a team and finish as a team! A minimum of 2 members is required for the event; teams with only 1 member showing up will be disqualified. As much as we understand “things” happen, please inform Across U-hub staff or the Referee on the event day if your member won’t be able to check-in or return on time.
