Tomorrow Starts Today: Camp en Rouge

This is an overnight camping trip at Rouge Park – the first urban National Park in Canada – to help youth appreciate and develop a deeper connection with nature.

by spending 24 hours in the wilderness. The trip will be filled with camping knowledge and activities including tent setup, cooking in wilderness, hiking, campfire, story-telling, sharing under the stars and more.

Why Should You Join?

A Big Park

Rouge Park is currently the largest near-urban park in North America, at over 47 square kilometers. It has 6 developed trails with guided hikes 7 times a week by certified hike leaders.

Nature

Natural resources, including: a rare Carolinian forest; numerous species at risk

Heritage

Heritage resources, including: a a national historic site; geological outcrops from the interglacial age that are internationally significant; and, in-situ evidence of human history dating back over 10,000 years, including some of Canada’s oldest known Aboriginal historic sites and villages.
