To apply for the vendor of the Art & Handmade Bazaar 2024, please fill in the following Application Form, acknowledge and agree on the Vendor’s Guidelines and Waiver Statement before submitting your application. Here are some points to note regarding your application –

  • Booth Size:
    Outdoor – 4 ft. x 7 ft., to be set up in a sheltered area, no access to electricity outdoor

    Indoor – 4 ft. x 6 ft.

  • Preferred Booth Size & Location

    Vendors are invited to indicate their preferred booth location and size. While Across U-hub will make every effort to accommodate these preferences, please note that availability is not guaranteed.
  • Outdoor Booth: $50 each
    - Booth Size: 4 x 7 ft.
    - Booth will be set up outdoor in a sheltered area
    - No access to electricity outdoor

    Indoor Booth: $50 each
    - Booth Size: 4 x 6 ft.
  • Vendors are required to bring their own table cloth for the booth.
  • Vendors' Guidelines

  • 1. Submit only one application per vendor.
    2. We only accept handmade artisan products and original art. The vendor must be the producer of the products sold. Mass produced and manufactured items will not be accepted.
    3. You must list all categories of product that you intent to sell at the Bazaar. Categories not mentioned in your application will not be allowed for sale at the Bazaar.
    4. Across U-hub does not guarantee exclusivity for any product category or individual items. Vendors should be aware that similar products may be sold by multiple vendors during the bazaar.
    5. Across U-hub has the final decision to accept the application and/or materials.
    6. Deadline of CRAFTERIA: Art & Handmade Bazaar 2024 Vendor Application (by invitation) - May 26, 2024 (Sunday), 23:59
    7. If your application is accepted, you will receive a confirmation email no later than May 31, 2024 (Friday) and please complete the vendor fee payment by June 5, 2024 (Wednesday).
    8. If vendors do not confirm and/or pay vendor fee by the date stated above, we will move on to the next vendor in line.
    9. If accepted into the CRAFTERIA: Art & Handmade Bazaar 2024, the vendor and/or their delegates are expected to be onsite and available during the mandatory booth times. We recommend that the vendor to bring a friend or family member to help and to give the vendor a chance to take a break.
    10. By submitting this application, you agree that Across U-hub can use your product photos and videos to promote your work(s) on our website and social media sites.
    11. Across U-hub will not be making any monetary transaction/sale on behalf of the vendor.
    12. Across U-hub and Varley Art Gallery will not be responsible for any loss of the display/artwork/sale items. It is vendor’s responsibility to arrange the display of their artwork(s)/product(s). It is the vendor’s responsibility to arrange for setup or teardown for his/her display.
    13. Open flames are not permitted at the venue at any time. This veto includes matches, lighters, candles, sterno burners, propane, natural gas, or any other type of flame.
    14. No decorations or other items to be affixed to the walls. Helium balloons are not permitted at the venue.
    15. Nothing shall be permitted to be done or displayed on the premises which are contrary to the Criminal Code, or any provincial or municipal acts, by-laws, or regulations.
    16. The CRAFTERIA: Art & Handmade Bazaar 2024 takes place rain or shine. In the event of an emergency or market cancellation, affected vendors will be given the opportunity to participate on another day.
    17. No refund will be made to vendors who have confirmed a spot and submitted payment.
    18. The CRAFTERIA: Art & Handmade Bazaar 2024 is an inclusive and safe space for everyone. We have a zero-tolerance policy for abusive language, bullying, and harassment of staff, volunteers, makers, performers and visitors.
    19. The Varley Art Gallery is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside its building or outdoor courtyard.
    20. Booth spaces and placement will be pre-assigned. Booth sizes are approximate. Booth sizes and placement may be changed at the Across U-hub's discretion.
    21. Vendors are required to ensure all items for display, electrical / extension cord (if any) and all display structures are set up in a safe condition to allow any staff, volunteers, visitors or cleaning staff to move about freely without risk of injury. All display items and furnishing must be contained in the designated area.
    22. Across U-hub will promote all of our Bazaar/Market events through the following channels, including but not limited to: Facebook and Instagram posts, flyers, posters, community bulletin boards and websites to help drive community support and attendance. Across U-hub will not be held responsible if vendors do not turn a profit or generate sales during our event.
    23. All matters not covered in above are at the sole discretion of Across U-hub and the Varley Art Gallery.
  • Waiver Statement

  • 1. The vendor and/or delegate(s) shall assume all liability for all damages to Across U-hub and the Varley Art Gallery caused directly and indirectly by the vendor and/or delegate(s). The vendor and/or delegate(s) will be responsible for the replacement or repair of any damaged furniture or equipment as well as any damage done to the facility.
    2. Multi-media Release: as a vendor of CRAFTERIA: Art and Handmade Bazaar 2024, the vendor and/or delegate(s) hereby grant permission to Across U-hub and the Varley Art Gallery the right to use, reproduce, and/or distribute photographs, films, videotapes, and sound recordings of the vendor and/or delegate(s), taken during CRAFTERIA: Art and Handmade Bazaar 2024 without compensation or approval rights, for use in materials created for purposes of promoting the activities of Across U-hub and the Varley Art Gallery only.
    3. Liability Waiver: as an applicant of CRAFTERIA: Art and Handmade Bazaar 2024, the vendor and/or delegate(s) also agree to release and forever discharge Across U-hub and the Varley Art Gallery, their board members, committee members, employees and volunteers jointly and severally from any and all actions, causes of action, for damage, loss, injury or death, arising which may be sustained by participating in CRAFTERIA: Art and Handmade Bazaar 2024. You also agree that Across U-hub and the Varley Art Gallery shall not be held responsible for any loss or theft of your personal possessions.

We will only collect information from you with your knowledge and consent; only use personal information provided by you for the purpose/s for which it was collected, not disclose your personal information to a third party without your prior consent, ensure that your personal information is not disclosed to other institutions except if required by law or other regulation, and remove your personal information from our system where it is no longer required.
