Across U-hub during COVID-19

We sincerely invite you to journey with us during these challenging times!

Our New Ways to Raise Desperately Needed Funds

For the safety of our supporters, participants and volunteers, we have had to make some difficult decisions to cancel our annual programs, which help generate funds through sponsorships and advertisements to maintain our services. For example:

  • City Mosaic
  • Summer Youth Leadership Camp
  • Celebration and Fundraising Gala

To ensure that we can continue our youth services, this year we have to rely heavily on direct donations. Hence, we are humbly asking for your financial support, which will contribute directly to the ministry of Across U-hub.

Please donate a one-time amount or a monthly gift. Your generous donation will help us continue our service for immigrant youth.

Our New Services during Pandemic

Owing to social isolation and the rising COVID-related racism, many immigrant youth face enormous pressure and mental health challenges. To help overcome their sense of loneliness, helplessness and fear, Across has made every effort to keep our young people connected and engaged, and, at the same time, to promote their creativity, resilience and positive attitudes. For example:

  • Chat-talk online dialogue every Sunday for youth
  • Remote after-school program for high school students
  • Together We Carry On online platform, where youth and volunteers have so far made and distributed over 1000 do-it-yourself “Fortune Cookies” and over 700 handmade masks for frontline workers, partners and individuals in the GTA.

Please join us to volunteer your time and skills to make reusable face masks or Fortune Cookies gifts for the community.
